I’m destroying my Spore box
I clearly did not do enough research before purchasing Spore about a week ago. Turns out the game is heavily protected with an evil DRM. Aparently the game can only be installed 3 times, after that you have to contact EA to unlock more installations and if the game is unable to contact the EA servers for 10 days the game is locked down.
I am ashamed to have gone out and bought this game, and I will now destroy my Spore box and then go download a pirated copy. Just because EA deserves a bloody kick in the butt.

/agree. Seems you don’t pay for something you own after all. Reminds me of the scene in Bruce Willis’ taxi cab in the 5th Element: the car computer blankly tells him he has no driving licence points left, only to be ripped apart seconds later
Or to put it another way; 35£ is way too expensive to rent a game. EA is growing too huge. I am also going to download it just to send the message.
