This week – in pictures!

I’ve been doing some soul searching lately and have come to the conclusion that I need to do something about my blogging pattern and start keeping this place more up to date!

I know that all of you are starting to wear out those Ctrl+R keys in your desperation for news about my wonderfully adventurous life! So here we go with a little update about the week just passed – with pictures!

Aleksander has not been feeling well lately, and we figured we should be extra careful in these swine flu days, so we locked him in his office. One thing we learned was that rolling office chairs do not work very well for blocking doors…

Swine flu!

Swine flu!

This was a short week, as May 1st is of course the International Workers’ Day. In Norway that means it’s a national go-out-and-get-hammered-day. We started with champagne for lunch at work (not actually related to May 1st in any way, but I’ll write about that in a later post). After work a few friends and I headed to one of the local bars for a beer on the roof terrasse. Nothing beats enjoying a cold beer in the sun after a hard days work, right? It was great fun, even with my friends mocking me for tweeting about it

The evening was concluded with a highly successful Quiz show where we (well, the rest of the group minus me) won the Music Quiz and a bottle of champagne. Perhaps it was clever of me to say “good night” before that happened – not sure how well my body would have responded to another round of that sparkly water…

Friday was spent trying to assemble a new barbeque which I had bought on Thursday. It quickly became evident that this was going to be a huge project! First off: Computer enigneers and anything like this, which is sold in ten thousand pieces, is not a good match. Second: Standing bent over these pieces with a thundering headache from last night’s escapade is far from pleasant. After aproximately 2.5 hours, I did manage to get the monster (?!) assembled, though! They say the size of your barbeque says something about how much of a man you are… I certainly hope not…!

Barbeque, baby!

Anyways, I even barbeque my breakfast now…

Yesterday it was time for some more liver damaging activities and we arranged for a barbeque (again!) at my friends’ place. This was a much more quiet evening than Thursday, at least for me, but it was one of the better evenings I’ve had lately. Weekends like these are not kind to the wallet, though, so I think I might take it a little easy next weekend :)

Today it was time for a trip to my parents’ place for dinner and I also decided to give my car a thorough wash while I was there. It had this lovely gray smudge from the harsh winter roads and it was about time I got that taken care of. Looks great now, doesn’t it? :)

Nice and shiny!

That was my week – in pictures! Don’t expect this every week, but I’ll definitively do my best and keep this place updated more frequently…

Off to bed!
