Almost summer…

This weekend was awesome. Monday was off as well due to Pentecost, and we had apparently been giving the good offerings to the weather Gods – the weather was insane! Not a cloud in the skies and 20-25 degrees. It was like a mini summer vacation at the end of May.

On Friday, Aleksander and I got to plan a little more of our trip through Europe this summer. We went through a few tourist guides and selected some sights to see in some of the cities we are visting. We are planning to get a blog up and running, but it takes a while… Our first two nights in Paris are booked, at Vintage Hostel! Seems to be decent standard and not too expensive – let’s hope the pictures and the reviews on Hostelbookers.com does not lie!

I spent the Saturday at Groos with a friend of mine, relaxing in the sun for a few hours, before BBQ, beer and jacuzzi!

On Sunday I was off to my family’s cabin and spent most of the afternoon chilling in the sun.  I did not go swimming – the water was apparently only 13 degrees :-/ The place is great though, and perfect for relaxing without the tiniest of worries

Because Monday was off as well, we decided to meet up at Groos on Monday to work on our fabulous tan, BBQ and play Kubb in the sun. First time I’ve played Kubb, but it was a great game for the beach Will definitively be more of that this summer. Oh, and I had my first swim!

So being back at work today was not so bad after such a great weekend. I don’t think I have relaxed this well during a weekend for many years. Except for the fact that I only slept two hours last night due to my pink skin lighting up the entire bed room and keeping me awake, I had a very good start of the week – and now it’s only  3 days left of it!
